The poppies are blooming like crazy in my yard. Though they bloom all over the state and are the state flower, they love the extra water they get in a landscaped area.
I embroidered the Floral Oval with a pretty brown thread and found the right shade of pearlized c/s to match. I even had a strip of ribbon sitting on my desk that matched, it was fate. The Floral oval has a classic oval cut from the inside first, then the embroidery.
The card base is embossed with by Brenda Walton for Sizzix (this is a great set).
The ribbon is made to be a butterfly.
I made another card like this, but using red thread, poppies and a dragonfly, for my LSS owner 's birthday. She's also a framer, so she is going to frame it.

Oh my goodness, the embroidery is beautiful, as is the card. I love poppies and can just imagine how beautiful yours are in the garden. You've made a gorgeous card. Bet the other one will be beautiful framed..so would this one.
